Jax Jones and Tove Lo have teamed up for a hot new collaboration called ‘Jacques’.

Detailing a fun and flirty rendezvous with a French man called Jacques, the track, which has been in the works for a while, sees Tove showcasing her sultry yet ethereal vocals over Jax’s catchy house beat.

Speaking about the collaboration, Jax said: “It’s one of my favourite new tracks from my album SNACKS (Supersize) because it alludes back to my deep house background. If you liked my first song ‘I Got U’ then this is for you. It’s got a fire bassline which in order to create I channelled the late great Jerry Barnes. So if you like it funky. Check it out!”

Speaking about working with Jax, Tove added, “I’ve had ‘House Work’ on repeat, we use it as our amp up song on tour before going on stage! I’ve wanted to work with Jax for a long time and our two days in London were some of the most fun and awesome sessions I’ve had. He played different ideas and tracks and I would just get in my zone and improvise melodies til I sang something we all loved.

“Writing the lyrics together was a lot of fun. ‘Jacques’ is about a one night fling with a french dude. It’s raw and cheeky, because that’s what that night was. This is the club banger on my new album Sunshine Kitty.”

Take a listen to ‘Jacques’ below.

‘Jacques’ will make an appearance on both Jax and Tove’s brand new albums. Jax will be releasing his highly anticipated debut album Snacks this Friday (September 6). The album will include a string of hits including ‘You Don’t Know Me’ featuring RAYE’ and ‘Instruction’ featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don, in addition to Jax’s recent track ‘Harder’ featuring Bebe Rexha.

Tove’s new album Sunshine Kitty will follow on September 20 and includes ‘Bad As The Boys’ featuring ALMA, in addition to a collaboration with pop queen herself, Kylie Minogue.

‘Jacques’ is available to download and stream now.
