Producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones has unveiled his highly anticipated EP Deep Joy, released via his new label WUGD.
The four-track EP includes the previously released ‘Feels’ and ‘Crystalise’, as well as new tracks ‘Paris’ co-produced by System.Inc, and ‘You Broke My Heart’ in collaboration with Teqkoi and Aiko.
Marking Jax’s most authentic music to date, Deep Joy is a body of work which is rooted in personal experience and produced with the aim of sparking genuine emotion in his audience. The latest tracks from the EP also see Jax working with artists who are signed to his new label, further cementing the label’s ethos surrounding collaboration and amplification of its diverse talent roster.
Speaking about his latest project, Jax said “It’s really exciting to be putting out this much music right now and through my new label WUGD. I’m trying new sounds and styles which I hope you guys dig. I’ve been releasing tunes every other week and am enjoying doing things way more instinctively with this EP while keeping collaboration with WUGD artists at the centre of it all.”
WUGD was launched by Jax in partnership with his long-time manager Dan Stacey and Polydor Records. Created ‘by artists, for artists’, WUGD aims to showcase the next generation of multi-genre talent, with plans to launch a bursary scheme and mentorship programme for young creatives who are starting out in the business.
The label will champion emerging artists, unique projects from established talent, and collaborations with multi-discipline creatives. They’re also looking for new talent to sign and artists can get in touch for more information via [email protected]
