Jax’s debut full-length album, Dear Joe,, is finally here! In its first week, the album has debuted on multiple top charts, including #3 on the iTunes Pop Albums chart, #8 on the iTunes Global Albums Chart, #9 on the Spotify US Albums Chart, and #10 on the iTunes Pop Chart.
Dear Joe, features 20 tracks, including hits like “HOW DARE YOU,” “zombieland” featuring HARDY, “Victoria’s Secret,” and “too young to be old,” along with funny interludes in between some songs. The album was worth the wait, as it perfectly captures Jax’s comedic stye mixed with her heartfelt songwriting.
On release day, Jax posted a clip of “too young to be old” to her Instagram and TikTok page, getting over 76 million views so far. People connected with the clip, like a lot of her music, as it shows her father reacting to the song that she wrote for him. In an Instagram comment, Jax shared some context behind how the song came to be after a fan asked, “How did you write this without falling apart?”
Jax said she did and, “For context: My dad and I got into an argument that week and weren’t speaking. I couldn’t sleep thinking about how short life is and let the emotions pour out the next morning.”
