Week-on-week, we bring you some of the best new music releases, and here’s another to whet your appetite. JES, Joonas Hahmo, and JS16 have all teamed up for this infectious new tune, titled “The One”. It’s certainly a track you won’t be able to get out of your head after the first listen.
JES, full name Jes Brieden, is a singer-songwriter who has gone on to achieve some monumental career highlights, including a Grammy nomination. She likes to break the mould on what is expected of her and continues to push out addicting tracks with emotional, meaningful lyrics. She’s teamed up with Joonas Hahmo, who is a Finnish producer and DJ. He made his name known with hits such as “Alt+F4” and “Cocktail Bar”; and, even has his own label, Hahmo Recordings. The other collaborator on this track is JS16, real name Jaakko Salovaara; another Finnish producer and DJ, who is known for producing club anthem’s such as Darude’s “Sandstorm” and “Feel The Beat” as well as Bomfunk MC’s “Freestyler”. He also remixed Britney Spears’ “Overprotected” which became an official remix and even appeared in her film Crossroads. It’s clear this song was going to be one catchy track.
