It seems like a huge congratulations are in order for Jessica Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson as the star just announced that she is expecting the couple’s third child! Insert excited squeal here.
The songstress turned fashion designer took to Instagram earlier today (18th September) to surprise her four million followers with the news that her gorgeous little family will soon be expanding to five.
But that’s not all… Simpson also used the social media site to reveal their baby’s gender in a follow up post which has so far wracked up an impressive two hundred thousand likes.
In the first of the two posts, Simpson announced her pregnancy with a picture of her children proudly beaming as they held up a pair of black spotted balloons. “SURPRISE…” she titled the picture, leading her followers to shower her with sweet congratulatory messages galore.
Simpson then followed up this post with a second, showing her children Maxwell and Ace holding a string of pink balloons. This time she captioned the post, “This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

And while this news of the new arrival might have come as a bit of a shock to Simpson’s followers, it seems like the soon-to-be parents of three have had babies on the brain for a while now.
The couple, who tied the knot in July 2014, recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight where the singer admitted that she and her NFL hubby definitely had baby fever but that another child, “would have to be a bit of a miracle.”
“We always practice though!” The singer then jokingly added.
So we guess miracles really do happen!
