Yorkshire singer-songwriter John Newman is best known for his distinct vocals, booming bops and infectious dance moves. However, what you might not already know is that he is also a keen rally driver.
Whilst we wait for more new music from John, he has shared the first video from a new series on his YouTube channel called the ‘Fast Food Challenge’. The concept is simple – John will be driving a celebrity around in his rally car, whilst the guest has to eat a three course meal in the quickest time possible.
Sounds easy, right? Well, considering that the celebrity is given a wooden spoon to eat the dishes AND that John is driving at high speeds across a bumpy course, it’s definitely a lot more difficult than it sounds.
The first to take on John’s ‘Fast Food Challenge’ is Celebrity Juice star Keith Lemon, and without even watching the video, you just know that the end result will be hilarious. With chicken soup, prawn linguine and jelly to be devoured by Keith, chaos ensues from the second that John begins their wild spin around the course.
There’s flying food, swearing and plenty of banter to be had as John and Keith rally around the course, with Keith notching up a time of three minutes and 39 seconds.
