Jurassic World turned out to be one of the biggest films of 2015, breaking box office records and guaranteeing itself at least two more sequels.
It now stands as the fourth most successful film in history to date.
The sequel is set to arrive in the summer of 2018 and the pre-production stages have already been completed.
The new director, JA Bayona, has seemingly confirmed that production has already started on the film.
This is a lot sooner than anyone anticipated so the fans are absolutely delighted that things are moving ahead.
Bayona tweeted out an image of a classic Jurassic Park helmet, unable to hide his excitement.
