The BRITs 2016 is set to have a stellar line up, as both Justin Bieber and Coldplay have been confirmed to perform at the awards ceremony!
BRITs Chairman Max Lousada said: “The BRITs are excited to welcome two of the biggest acts in the world right now to next year’s awards – Coldplay, who are undoubtedly one of our greatest music success stories, and pop sensation Justin Bieber, who will be coming to London for his first ever BRITs performance. Next year’s awards is shaping up to be a fantastic night of British and international music.”
Despite being an international act, Justin Bieber has made history in the UK in recent weeks. Breaking countless records, Justin has even become the first living artist to knock himself off the top of the charts. Despite winning the BRIT Award for International Breakthrough Act in 2011, this will be his first live BRITs performance! Surely he’ll also be up for some of the International awards too?!
Coldplay on the other hand are British giants, and BRIT veterans having performed in the past. They have 21 BRIT nominations under their belt since their first nomination in 2001 and no doubt more will be added next year. Coldplay are sure to bring a colourful spectacle to the stage when they perform.
They will be joining the recently announced Adele for the awards ceremony, the UK’s biggest in music. No stranger to the BRITs herself, Adele’s 2011 performance of ‘Someone Like You’ is one of the most memorable in BRIT history. There’s no doubt that she will deliver another haunting performance when she returns in 2016. Here at CelebMix, we reckon she’ll also be adding a few more awards to her mantelpiece, to join the three she’s previously won.
The BRIT’s celebrates the phenomenal talent we have in the UK as well as internationally. With an incredible line up so far, we can’t wait to see who else is added and who will be taking away the coveted statuettes next year!
Lucky MasterCard holders wishing to attend the night can get presale tickets from Priceless Surprises up until the 31st of December.
The BRIT’s have also teamed up with Google Play Music, with live performances from the night being available to stream and download after the event. The proceeds will be donated to Nordoff Robbins and The BRIT Trust.
The BRIT Awards 2016 with MasterCard will take place on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at London’s O2 Arena and will be broadcast live on ITV.
