Justin Timberlake has announced plans to release a new concert movie.
‘Justin Timberlake And The Tennessee Kids’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix October 12th.
Check out the trailer:
The concert film, directed by Jonathan Demme, will show the final performance of Timberlake’s 134-city world tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Oscar winner Demme’s past work includes Neil Young’s 2006 documentary Heart Of Gold and the 2015 film Ricki And The Flash.
Talking about the project late last year, Jonathan was full of praise for Justin and his band The Tennessee Kids.
“It’s very emotional, very exciting. It’s a space age music film. There’s tremendous dancing in this piece, Justin’s a funky Fred Astaire.”
“He’s got an extraordinary band, huge horn section, two lead guitars, two drummers, eight dancers, four exquisite background singers. And we caught them on their last performance.”
Justin took to Instagram to announce the news writing “Join me and @TheTNKids. On @Netflix. Starting October 12th… Let’s #TimberlakeAndChill. #Netflix.”
The short video shows clips of Justin performing on stage, interspersed with a pre-show pep talk with his band.
“Tonight when you’re up there, look to your right, look to your left. That’s who this show is for.”
Ahead of it’s Netflix release, the movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday (September 13th).
