It’s been over four years since Justin Timberlake last released an album, but we’re happy to hear that the wait for a new body of work from the singer is almost over.

Taking to social media earlier today, Justin announced that his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods, will be released on February 2. In addition to revealing the album name and release date, Justin accompanied the announcement with a short visual.

From walking in snow to swimming in a river, the visual sees Justin getting in touch with nature in a variety of different landscapes. He states, “This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve ever written, where I’m from. And it’s personal.”

The visual also gives us a glimpse of Justin’s family life with wife Jessica Biel and son Silas. However, the latter half showcases a snippet of JT’s new material, intertwined with clips of Justin in the studio with long-time collaborator Pharrell Williams, who states “That is a smash.”

Justin also implied via Twitter that the first track from the album will be unveiled on Friday (January 5).

Justin’s new material will be his first since the anthemic ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’, taken from the Trolls soundtrack, which was released in 2016.

The announcement of new music comes at a perfect time, as Justin’s album will drop two days before he is due to headline the 2018 Super Bowl half-time show. Speaking about his forthcoming performance with Mike Tirico, Justin said: “What I really want to do is take the opportunity to put together a performance that feels like it unifies.”

We couldn’t be more excited for the new era of music from Justin. From the snippet alone, it sounds like we’re in for an absolute treat.
