Kanye West appears to have deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The outspoken rapper, who had amassed millions of followers on both social media platforms, has given no reason for his decision.
Kanye, who once described his Instagram account as ‘art’, joined the image-sharing app back in 2016.
Speaking at the time West said “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition… no one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram, it’s my art.”
Explaining the difference between Instagram and Twitter, Kanye went on to explain, “my tweets are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet… non artist trying to grab the paint brush.”
The news comes the same day that Kanye and his Kim Kardashian West launched their first children’s clothing line, ‘Kids’.
Queen of social media Kim tweeted: “For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line.”
“TheKidsSupply has been what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m so excited about this!”
