    Kate McKinnon Joins the Cast of ‘Leap!’

    It’s official! The Weinstein Company announced that Kate McKinnon has joined the cast of the new animated film Leap!

    McKinnon is best known for her sketch comedy work on Saturday Night Live, as well as starring in the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot where she played the role of Dr. Jillian Holtzmann.

    In her latest project, McKinnon will voice three different characters: Régine Le Haut, Mother Superior & Félicie’s Mother.

    This certaintly won’t be the first time McKinnon is lending her voice for an animated character. In the past, she has voice acted for TV shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy, the films Finding Dory and The Angry Birds Movie, and the video game LEGO Dimensions.

    The official US trailer for Leap! released a few days ago, and will also star Elle Fanning, Nat Wolff, Maddie Ziegler, Mel Brooks and Carly Rae Jepsen.

    The film also features Original Music by Sia, Demi Lovato, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

    Leap! will hit theaters everywhere on April 21, 2017.
