Following her incredible comeback performance at this year’s GRAMMYs, Katy Perry has been confirmed to perform at The BRIT Awards 2017.

This marks Katy’s first UK TV appearance in three years. She completes a star studded line up, which includes Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Bruno Mars, The 1975, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé and Skepta.

Of the news, Katy said: “I’m excited to come back to one of my favorite countries, where most of my favorite musical influences come from. After 3 years, I’m excited to return to the BRITs’ stage to kick off a new era of purposeful pop.”

She also shared her excitement on Twitter.

BRITs Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music UK and Ireland Jason Iley said: “Katy Perry, one of the biggest artists in the world, is the perfect artist to complete our incredible 2017 line-up. She’s a global superstar who will bring even more glamour, fun and excitement with her exclusive UK BRITs performance next week.”

The singer last appeared at The BRITs in 2014, with a colourful performance of ‘Dark Horse’. She has been nominated in the International categories four times, winning one BRIT in 2009 for Best International Female Solo Artist.

Katy made a welcome return to the music world last week, with the release of her brand new single ‘Chained To The Rhythm’. Prior to its release, she teased her KatyCats across the world by dropping big disco balls in various locations, including London’s Leicester Square, where fans were able to hear a snippet of the song.

The BRIT Awards 2017 takes place at London’s O2 Arena on February 22. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV.
