Katy Perry has made country music fans’ dreams come true! The California Girl will be performing with country superstar Dolly Parton at the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards. This will be the first time the two superstars have ever performed together.
Katy has been laying relatively low since the end of her sold out Prismatic Tour that ended late 2015. She has made no official announcement with regards to when her next album will drop, only early rumors of 2018 with Katy saying that she is only in the “research and development phase.” She has not performed on TV since her 2015 Grammy performance of her heartbreaking song “By the Grace of God.” While Parton is no stranger to the CMA’s, this will be a first for the California superstar.
Dolly will also be receiving the Tex Ritter Award for her Television movie “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors.”
The Country Music Awards will be airing on April 3rd.
