Global megastar Kelly Clarkson teases fans with a taste as to what they can expect from her highly anticipated tenth studio album “chemistry” with the double release of the projects lead singles, “mine” / “me”.
Purposefully chosen to showcase the “lyrical complexity” featured on the record, the two contrasting tracks both emanate with a deep sense of raw emotion, as Clarkson tells of the transformative journey she has been on the last three years of her life.
Commenting on her decision to release both songs, Kelly says in a press release: “We decided to release ‘mine’ and ‘me’ at the same time because I didn’t want to release just one song to represent an entire album, or relationship. There are many stages of grief and loss on this album. Each song is a different stage and emotional state.”
First announced last month, alongside an exclusive Las Vegas engagement, Chemistry… An Intimate Night with Kelly Clarkson, (which opens Friday, July 28th 2023 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino), “chemistry” serves as Clarkson’s first album of original material singe 2017’s “Meaning Of Life”.
Explaining the meaning behind the records title Kelly says: “Having chemistry with someone is an incredible, and overwhelming, feeling. It’s like you have no choice in the matter. You are just drawn to each other. This can be good and bad. This album takes you down every path that chemistry could lead you down.”
