I wanted to challenge myself to write something that showed a more optimistic side. The song was inspired after bingeing Bridgerton during the pandemic. Rather than write from a personal experience on love, this one tells the evolution of a friendship that blossoms into a romantic relationship, a common trope in popular culture.”
Her lines like “everyone can see I laugh too loud at your dumb jokes” are so relatable and real. She also stunningly sings of the two of them kissing because the world could be ending soon. With everything that has transpired these last couple of years that statement really hits home. Life is short and her soaring track is all about making the most of the time we have.
