Kensington Palace has released new images of Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Taken by the Duchess on Princess Charlotte’s third birthday (May 2), the first adorable image sees the young princess hold her new baby brother Prince Louis whilst kissing the top of his head.
The second image, also taken by the Duchess, sees Prince Louis lying on a pillow, dressed in white. The image was taken at Kensington Palace on April 26, just three days after he was born. Alongside the images, The Duke and Duchess thanked the “members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday”.
Their older brother Prince George does not appear in the photos. However, the picture of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis strongly resembles one of the first images that the Duchess shared of George cradling Charlotte after her birth.
Over the years, the Duchess has taken a number of family photos marking special occasions including Princess Charlotte’s first birthday, and Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s first days at nursery school.
Last year, she accepted a lifetime honorary membership of the Royal Photographic Society, with the Chief Executive Michael Pritchard praising the Duchess’ “talent and enthusiasm” for photography.
