Despite being in a fierce court battle with Dr Luke and her record label, Kesha has accordingly registered a brand new song on BMI. The song comes as an ongoing war between Kesha and Sony heats up as the star pleads to be released from the major record label.
Today, Kesha registered her new track – the first for quite some time – titled Buried Alive.
The song is co-written by the US star, along with the likes of Erik Olof Lewander and Sacha Skarbek; both being famously known for their work with successful artists such as Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball.
But don’t get too excited. Unfortunately, the track is unlikely to be released until the legal arguments end – which could be quite a wait. Kesha is still signed to Dr Luke’s labels and if the song name is anything to go by, the track could possibly be turned down for obvious reasons.
The 29-year-old has been appearing in more public places recently, which we can only hope is something positive for the star. She surprisingly paid a visit to Coachella last weekend, performing with Zedd. She also performed with her band ‘Yeast Infection’ back in December.
Kesha is set to perform at Dylan Fest on May 23rd/24th. And as a media and entertainment website, CelebMix stands in solidarity with the singer – we can only hope for the best for the star.
