English singer/songwriter Kris James is a hopeless romantic on the loose announcing his debut self-titled album, coming out on November 5. Sticking to what he knows, it wasn’t the smoothest journey for Kris James. Despite the turbulent circumstances that come hand-in-hand with romantic break-ups and band break-ups, James came out of the other side and better for it.

A little broken heart never hurt nobody, am I right? There is nothing like the artistic ability to convert what’s left of your heart into a kick-ass pop song that you can dance to. Kris James is a master of it. In order to get to this point, the Liverpool singer had to practice the art of patience. However, after leaving his former band, The Scheme, James felt truly free to create and put himself out there.

The announcement of James’ debut self-titled album officially starts the countdown to his highly anticipated debut as a solo artist. Looking back at his previous releases, such as ‘Eyes Open’ that went straight to UK Top 30, there is no doubt about the caliber at which Kris James will deliver.

“I’m always writing about break-ups and love,” James states. Hey, he knows what he’s the best at; why not milk it until you possibly can. No exception will be the upcoming focus track ‘Dreamer’ that talks about the one you thought you would be with forever. Besides love, he previously covered complex themes such as toxic masculinity, anxiety, and honesty in romance.

Kris James speaks on what his hopes are for his self-titled album: “When I pick up an album, I want to love the whole thing, not just tracks one, four, and eight. My mindset whilst writing was that if this proves to be the last thing I ever release, I want it to be a definitive statement; to be the best it can be. Each song on this album has all come from real life situations that I have been in, usually when I’m happy, sad, in or out of love”.

Save the date in your calendars, November 5th, it’s coming.
