After months of speculation, last night (February 4) Kylie Jenner took to social media to confirm her pregnancy, revealing that she welcomed her baby daughter into the world on February 1.
The reality star and business woman has grown up in the spotlight, appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians since she was nine years old. Whilst we’re used to knowing the ins and outs of the Kardashian-Jenner household, understandably 20-year-old Kylie wanted to enjoy her special first journey into motherhood and keep it between her family and close friends.
Taking to Instagram, Kylie apologised for keeping fans in the dark and acknowledged that the world is used to following all of her journeys. However, she stated that “my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how.”
Speaking about her pregnancy, Kylie described it as “the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience” and thanked her close friends and family for allowing her to keep the experience as private as possible.
Kylie ended the note by revealing that her and her partner Travis Scott’s “beautiful and healthy baby girl” was born on February 1.

Kylie followed the Instagram post with a beautiful YouTube video titled ‘To Our Daughter’, which detailed her pregnancy journey. The video begins with Kris Jenner welcoming Kylie into the world, before we hear messages from Kylie’s friends and family. During the video, we get glimpses of Kylie and Travis’ relationship, the different stages of Kylie’s pregnancy and her adorable baby shower.
We also see her compare baby bumps with sister Khloe Kardashian, who is currently expecting her first child, and meeting Kim Kardashian’s newly-born third child, Chicago. The video ends with Kylie heading to the maternity ward to give birth, before we see a quick glimpse of the newborn, who arrived at 4:43pm on February 1, weighing in at 8lbs 9oz.
