Kylie Minogue has opened up about her split from British actor Joshua Sasse.
Speaking to the Australian Sunday Herald, the singer said she was grateful for the experience but looked forward to moving on.
“It wasn’t meant to be and so I look forward to moving on, richer for the experience.”
“I haven’t had the white picket fence and happy ever after in my life, so far, but perhaps that’s just not my destiny.”
“I know love and I love to be in love.”
Minogue announced her split from Sasse just two weeks ago, after reports appeared in the press about the actors rumoured close relationship with Spanish actress Marta Milans.
Posting on Instagram Kylie wrote “#Lovers … Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.”
“Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways.”
“We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons #thesunalwaysrises”
The couple met back in 2015 on the set of American television series Galavant, where Kylie played the Queen of The Enchanted Forest in the season 2 premiere episode titled ‘A New Season aka Suck It Cancellation Bear’.
Despite her seemingly bad luck when it comes to relationships, Kylie refuses to be bitter and insists she choses to find the positive in life “I try to see the glass half full.”
Kylie now plans to throw herself into her work after signing with a new record label.
“I’ve started a new album. It’s been so rewarding and such a good tonic to be back in the studio.” Minogue said.
“It’s my 30th year in music and it feels fresh, exciting. I can’t wait to finish it and share with everyone.”
