Lady Gaga’s career has been shaped by being an immense icon in not just music performance, but passionate acting. This was self-evident in her new role on American Horror Story that won her the Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a limited-series/TV-Movie. This inspirational woman goes all out to make her fans happy, but most importantly, herself.
The beginning of her career started off rapid as her debut album won her a Grammy award for Best Dance/Electronica album. Her ‘Born This Way‘ track has been hailed as a gay anthem and helped ease the transition of many young, fearful kids into confident and proud individuals.
Her jazz album Cheek To Cheek prompted a 360 degree turn into a genre completely different from her other previous albums, but the respect she has gained from big legends like Tony Bennett means much more to Lady Gaga than sales and charts. That in itself shows how honest and sincere of an artist she is.
Gaga quite literally does things for the sake of sincerity. But, it’s all paid off, especially when she’s sold over 140 million singles worldwide and 28 million albums worldwide in LESS than a decade.
Her constant inspiration from past musical icons such as Madonna has allowed her to bring something new to the millennial generation.
Long story short, people may have criticized Gaga in the past for “being too much,” but it just might have been the extra push that the world needed to be more accepting of people with different backgrounds.
The never-ending change of Lady Gaga over the past years is much appreciated, and we’ll always respect her for always being TRUE to herself.
