Lady Gaga has unveiled a teaser trailer for her forthcoming Netflix original documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two.

The minute-long trailer is incredibly intense and gives an insight into what we can expect from the powerful documentary, which “pulls back the curtain to introduce the woman behind the performer”. Following Gaga’s footsteps for a year, the intimate documentary highlights hard moments in the singer’s life, including her painful shoulder procedure.

However, these moments are intertwined with plenty of lighthearted scenes, including her getting a Joanne tattoo, declaring “let’s get stoned in grandpa’s car!”, meeting fans, hugging Florence Welch, and preparing for her incredible Super Bowl performance.

Lady Gaga previously teased the documentary on her social media with a series of short, artsy clips. The trio of clips are so raw and showcase the artist’s vulnerable side. The first clip shows Gaga submerged in water whilst she tearfully talks about going from being in front of huge crowds of people to being alone in total silence. The second clip shows the singer being lifted into the sky for her Super Bowl performance whilst the third focuses on her doctor’s visit.

The documentary, directed by Chris Moukarbel, will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 22, and will be made available on Netflix on the same day.

Lady Gaga is currently on her Joanne World Tour. The singer was recently forced to cancel her show in Montreal after getting sick performing in the rain during an outdoor show in New York. However, she sent pizzas to her loyal Monsters who waited outisde her hotel, and even signed autographs for them. The Joanne World Tour comes to the UK in October.
