Lady Gaga’s visual director has promised her headline set at Coachella will be high energy and full of surprises.
Gaga replaces Beyonce as tonights headliner, after Beyonce pulled out following the announcement she is expecting twins with husband Jay Z.
Despite booking the gig last minute, Lady Gaga is said to be pulling out ALL the stops to make sure her show is one fans will remember forever.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Gaga’s longtime choreographer and visual director Richy Jackson, admits the pair have been in rehearsals “pretty much every day,” for weeks.
“It has been a very collaborative effort; it’s been meetings, meetings, more meetings, emails, text messages and everything under the sun, whatever technology to get information across to people.”
Jackson also reveals that the ‘Perfect Illusion’ singer is “up for anything” when performing onstage.
“Well, you know, there’s always a ‘wow’ moment with Gaga at some point.”
“For the crowd at Coachella, they are there for so many different reasons, so as far as our show, what I can tell you, it is going to be high energy.”
“We are going to play with some of her various genres she has within her as an artist and figure out a way to allocate those things throughout the show, and take some risks and some chances and have a good time.”
Lady Gaga is the first female performer to headline Coachella Festival since Bjork in 2007.
