With summer out of the way, we’re easing into colder days and prime cuddle weather. So it seems just about right that Lauv has released yet another song to make our hearts melt, this time in collaboration with Julia Michaels to bring us “There’s No Way”.
They are the duo we never knew we always wanted until we got them. “There’s No Way” starts off as a soft, moody track before picking up. The mix of piano and electronic elements in the track work perfectly together for a buildup leading into the rest of the song while Lauv’s velvety voice perfectly compliments Julia Michaels’. In true Lauv fashion, it’s the type of song that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The music video plays with lights for warmer yellow tones throughout, while still staying true to Lauv’s trademark deep blue in certain shots. It tells a deeper story of a touring duo on the road who are so into each other – but have some things holding them back.
