It’s confirmed! LeBron James will be starring in the sequel to the hit ’90s movie, Space Jam. This was announced after LeBron’s production company, SpringHill Entertainment, published a photo of the new project. In it, you’ll see a caricature of a basketball locker room with a few notable names: LeBron James, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, indie filmmaker Terence Nance, and of course, Bugs Bunny.

Very little has been mentioned about the premise of the next film but for those who aren’t familiar with the first, here’s a quick background: Bugs Bunny (Billy West) and the rest of the Looney Tunes were on the verge of becoming the latest new attraction at Moron Mountain, owned by Swackhammer (Danny DeVito). As the ultimate decision maker, Bugs challenges them to a game of basketball. However, Swackhammer’s goons steal the power of NBA players Larry Bird and Charles Barkley. In return, Bugs calls on the help of Michael Jordan.
Here’s to hoping there will be some kind of ties and callbacks to the original. Are you excited?
