Scottish singer and song-writer Lewis Capaldi has become Scotland’s freshest success story, with his most recent release ‘Someone You Loved’ sitting in the Number One position in the UK & Ireland charts for a number of weeks.
Having recently announced a headline tour round the UK & Ireland for later this year, Lewis Capaldi has unveiled an additional host of tour dates for March 2020 – with him now set to perform in arenas.
The announcement of the tour comes before his debut album is even released – which is an exceptional achievement. ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’ is set for release on 17 May 2019 and will feature a collection of original tracks. When sharing the news on his social media accounts, Lewis explained that the tour was ‘genuinely something I can’t comprehend!’
The six-date tour will kick off in Manchester, before travelling to a host of various cities, with a date in Dublin, Ireland, before finishing up in London.
A full list of tour dates is as follows:
Monday 2 March and Tuesday 3 March 2020 – Manchester, O2 Apollo;
Thursday 5 March 2020 – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro;
Sunday 8 March 2020 – Dublin, 3Arena;
Wednesday 11 March 2020 – Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena;
Thursday 12 March 2019 – London, The SSE Arena Wembley.
Thoughtfully, Lewis Capaldi has put in place a support network for individuals who are anxious about going to a show, helping to make his fans to feel as comfortable as possible while at his show, putting several measures in place to ensure that no fans are left out.
- Support before and after his UK arena shows;
- Designated help points in each venue if you are struggling emotionally;
- Special safe place ‘Escape Room’ if a time out during the show is needed;
- Gig Buddy System if you are travelling alone.
Having supported a range of artists on their headline tours – including Sam Smith, Niall Horan, Picture This and Kodaline – Lewis Capaldi is now an established singer, song-writer and performer in his own right. His EP ‘Breach’ was released in November 2018, featuring four exceptional tracks. Additionally, he was nominated in the 2019 BRIT’s ‘Critics’ Choice Award’ category.
Pre-sale for the tour will commence on Wednesday 24 April 2019 and access to this is available by pre-ordering the album on CD, vinyl or cassette through his official store.
