Scottish singer and song-writer Lewis Capaldi – who is a finalist in the BRITS Critics’ Choice Award category at the upcoming BRIT Awards – completes the line-up of the Stand Up To Cancer event at London’s Union Chapel on Thursday 31 January 2019.

Ed Harcourt, Editors frontman Tom Smith, She Drew The Gun (acoustic solo performance), The Modern Strangers and Sam Johnson will also be performing on the night, with a host of exclusive stripped back live performances.

The event – an evening of exceptional, fresh music talent – will help to raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer, a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 to accelerate research and help to save lives.

The vision of both charities is to bring forward the time whenever all cancers are cured. Both charities work to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, which over the years has helped to save millions of lives. Additionally, Cancer Research UK assists research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 Scientists, Doctors and Nurses.

Lewis Capaldi has had an incredible journey since first bursting onto the music scene. In 2018, he was awarded VEVO’s ‘DSCVR Artist To Watch,’ won ‘Breakthrough Artist of The Year’ honours at the Scottish Music Awards – amid many other achievements.

His songs have become renowned for their emotional and beautiful nature, which exemplify his captivating vocals and music talent. One particularly impressive achievement is regarding his debut single ‘Bruises’ – which to date has received over 200 million combined streams worldwide. His single ‘Bruises’ made him the fastest ever unsigned artist to reach twenty-five million plays on Spotify. Following the immense success of his debut single, he signed to Virgin Records and Capitol Records.

Lewis Capaldi has toured with the likes of Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan and James Smith, additionally performing at a host of festivals and headlined shows in both the UK and the US.

Tickets for the event are now available, priced at £25, with all proceeds going to Stand Up To Cancer and can be purchased by clicking here.
