Young patients in the Children’s Ward of New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton (hometown of the one and only Liam Payne), were in for a treat on December 22nd, as a surprise visit from the singer was in order for the day!
Liam had contacted the hospital earlier in the week, to set up a time to drop by and deliver gifts to the patients, since Christmas was just around the corner. Trusts Charity Coordinater Leanne Bood, was both shocked and overwhelmed with joy when she got the call from one of his representatives.
“I got a call from someone who works with Liam asking if it was okay for the gifts to be delivered. Of course I was delighted to and we set about arranging it. We just want to say a huge thank you to Liam for this wonderful gesture and also to everyone who has helped the Charity this past year.”
And how wonderful a gesture it is indeed, for Liam (who happened to have been born at that same hospital) to deliver gifts to patients in the Children’s Ward. Of course, our hearts are filled with joy but what really made us swoon, was the pictures of patient Mohammed posing with a handwritten card from Liam, and some of the presents sent to the ward.
‘Tis the season to be jolly, right? And even more of a reason to spread happiness and joy this Christmas!
