Since the boys of One Direction launched their solo careers, it’s been almost impossible to keep up with everything they’ve been doing. From movie premieres to single releases, killer music videos and summer radio shows, interviews and guest spots; they’re staying busy and so are we.
So here at CelebMix, we’re going to look at each month in review for our favorite boys, check out some highlights, some of our favorite moments, and hopefully chat with you about some of yours.
Liam kicked off the month strongly with the release of his second solo track, “Get Low” with Zedd on July 7. Following the release came promotional billboards for the song around the world, and even a live performance on Good Morning America. Check it out!
While “Get Low” has been a pleasant follow up, Liam’s debut single “Strip That Down” has continued to make its presence known in the pop industry. It has steadily rose each week leading up to its current peak at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Not only has it down well on Billboard, but it’s reached the number two spot on U.S. iTunes and remained there for over a week, closely following behind the smash hit “Despacito”.
MTV even went on to make “Strip That Down” the song to cover for the month of July. Fans could submit videos to their website for a chance to be featured on their site!

Liam continued to carry on promo for his music. After visiting New York he took a brief stop in Los Angeles to visit Musical.ly headquarters (where he got to hang with some adorable puppies) before heading back home to his family in the UK.

Just as fans thought the month was coming to a close, arguably one of Liam’s best interviews was dropped with just a days notice. While in New York, he filmed an episode of “Hot Ones” with First We Feast where he ate chicken wings but each wing he ate used a hotter hot sauce. Not to mention the fact that he had to answer a question with each wing and dared to wear a cream coloured sweater!
From releasing “Get Low” with Zedd to performing it on Good Morning America, taking pictures with puppies to eating hot wings July was an adventurous month for both Liam Payne and his fans. We can only begin to imagine what he has in store for August!
