Here at CelebMix, we have been fans of 21-year-old Lilly Ahlberg and her incredible YouTube channel for a long time, so much so that we even crowned her our YouTuber of the Week in the past. However, Lilly is truly stepping up her game in 2018 with the release of a new single.
‘Bad Boys’ was released on Friday and marks Lilly’s debut single since signing to Polydor Records. The track was co-written by Lilly herself, along with Anita Blay (Little Mix, Becky Hill), Jonny Hockings and Matt Newman. Production was handled by Future Cut (Shakira, Lily Allen, Nicole Scherzinger, Olly Murs, Professor Green) and HUMN.
Armed with an infectious bassline, Lilly’s voice is hypnotic throughout ‘Bad Boys’. We’re already hooked on the flirty chorus and we bet you will be too after just one listen. The track was inspired by a party where Lilly and her friend went to confront a game-playing boy, although ‘Bad Boys’ also talks about how someone can be drawn into a dangerous love affair. Lilly said: “There is something tempting about playing with fire, I guess, and for me, personally, I’ve always been drawn to the douchey guys. Bad boys might bring you down, but it makes the highs so, so much better.”

Raised in Sweden by her English mother and Swedish father, Lilly follows in the footsteps of some of the country’s best musical acts. At the age of 14, she picked up the guitar and began to share her talent online. Since then, she has amassed over 120,000 subscribers and almost 12 million views, whilst perfecting her unique sound.
With an explosive debut single under her belt, we have high hopes that Lilly Ahlberg is going to be the newest rising star. We can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for her.
