This week, we recognize a musically talented lady who has gained the attention of music enthusiasts worldwide through the internet.
Sharing her unique sound and personality through YouTube, CelebMix’s YouTuber of the Week is…Lilly Ahlberg!
Who is Lilly Ahlberg?
Lilly Ahlberg (sillllylilllly) is a 20-year-old YouTuber who regularly posts covers of the latest tunes online. She was originally born in Italy by her English mother and Swedish father and currently resides in Helsingborg, Sweden. Lilly first joined the YouTube community in August 2008 but it wasn’t until 2011 when she posted her first cover. Ever since her first video, her YouTube channel has racked up 113,000+ subscribers (and still growing) and an accumulated count of 9,940,000+ views on all of her videos.
In 2014, Lilly released her first original song ‘Fade‘. The catchy tune showcases her voice and alternative pop genre, which she has been developing throughout her career. Currently, Lilly is still working on more of her music and says that she’s on her way to sharing new content with her fans! Exciting now isn’t it?
Why should you watch Lilly’s videos?
As she is still on the process of producing her own music, which we’re pretty sure everyone is going to love, Lilly keeps her fans entertained by posting covers on her channel!
You will sure find a wide array of songs from various famous artists. But, of course, Lilly adds on her own touch of genre and makes them like her own. Not only does she cover songs regularly out of passion but she also shows the importance of embracing your own sound. In every video that she makes, you can see how she stays true to who she is as a person and as a musician. As they say, a person’s music will probably tell you more about them more than words can. In a way, she serves as an inspiration to the younger audience to be true to who they are.
