Love is a funny thing. The world has seen an incredible line of variations of love ballads that often help us express the butterflies or the unavoidable heartache. Sometimes only music can make sense of what one feels.
A new cover album, ‘Rediscovered Love Songs’ by Chris Norman, reintroduces a compilation of twelve classic love songs. This heartfelt collection of ballads features iconic records by The Temptations, Eric Clapton, and Roy Orbison with Norman’s personal touch.
The focus single, ‘Always On My Mind’ originally by Elvis Presley, leads to the timelessness of love, longing, and affection. ‘Rediscovered Love Songs’ is an incredible reminder of Chris Norman’s distinctive vocals, previously celebrated as the frontman for the giant 70’s rock band Smokie. The band is known for releasing countless notorious hits such as ‘Have You Seen The Rain,’ ‘Living Next Door To Alice,’ ‘I’ll meet you at Midnight,’ and ‘Lay back in the arms of Someone.’
Chris Norman shares more about the concept behind ‘Rediscovered Love Songs’: “I have long wanted to record an album with these lovely romantic numbers, as they are songs that I love and think are lovely to perform. I have selected the songs that are close to my heart and that I can “find myself in” and sing with personal nerve and soul.”
‘Rediscovered Love Songs’ out now.
