Ahead of its West End premiere, it has been announced that the cast recording for The Time Traveller’s Wife will be released on September 29.
The musical cast recording is available to pre-order now, with two tracks called ‘Masterpiece’ and ‘On and On’ available immediately. The tracks are performed by the show’s leads, David Hunter and Joanna Woodward, who play Henry and Clare.
Based on the best-selling novel by Audrey Niffenegger and the film screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin, The Time Traveller’s Wife has now been adapted for stage by Lauren Gunderson. The story follows a woman who has an unorthodox marriage with a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably. This magical story features thrilling original music from Joss Stone and Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, which brings this mesmerising tale to life.
After a successful premiere run in Chester last year, The Time Traveller’s Wife will premiere in the West End at the Apollo Theatre from 7 October. David Hunter and Joanna Woodward will be joined by Tim Mahendran as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe as Charisse, Sorelle Marsh as Henry’s Mum, and Ross Dawes as Henry’s Dad.
The cast is completed by Alwyne Taylor, Irfan Damani, Alexandra Doar, Alex Lodge, Helena Pipe, Billie Hardy, Daniel George-Wright, Serina Mathew, Nathaniel Purnell, Bobby Windebank, Ava Critchell, Lily Hanna, Poppy Pawson, and Holly-Jade Roberts.
Tickets for the musical are available now.
