It’s safe to say Little Mix shut down the Capital Summertime Ball yesterday before it had even truly begun! For the past three years, Little Mix have performed at the Summertime Ball and with every performance the girls have showcased different and unique ways of getting the crowd on their feet and getting all the fangirls screaming! Little Mix brought the crowd new choreography, different renditions of their songs and as always, flawless vocals!
Before their set, the girls rocked the red carpet all in denim. Leigh-Anne pulled off a denim ruffled dress that had also been worn by her biggest idol, Rihanna. Jesy went for a black bralet, denim jacket and denim skirt. Jade rocked the simple denim dress, while Perrie blew our minds with her denim skirt and jacket which definitely didn’t cover up her denim bra, who’s complaining though?
Little Mix were the first performers of yesterday’s huge Capital event in front of 80,000 people and boy, did they have a set list for us! The girls opened with their certified platinum single ‘Black Magic’, then performed a jazz version of ‘Move’ which they’ve been performing on their Get Weird Tour, before performing their very first single off of their debut album DNA, ‘Wings’. Of course, this song is still a classic and will never get old, so the crowd sang along like it hasn’t already been five years since it’s release!
The girls slowed it down with the stunning ‘Secret Love Song Part II’ which didn’t feature Jason Derulo, therefore they stripped it back with just a piano instrumental and their vocals surrounding the stadium… It was UNBELIEVABLE! Guaranteed the whole stadium were covered in goosebumps! Jesy introduced the next song, which was their newest single ‘Hair’ and they slayed it. The girls brought out some new choreography during Sean Paul’s rap which didn’t fail to get the Mixers going crazy on Twitter!
Lastly, the girls performed their female anthem ‘Salute’ which is still very iconic and the crowd probably felt so empowered after Little Mix left the stage. Let’s just say these girls can do it all! They can sing and dance, they can walk and dance, they can EVEN run and dance! They just continue to better themselves and we’re all so very, very proud.
The girls rocked the stage in monochrome-themed outfits which brought some major DNA Tour feels back and added big bold red lips. They wore gorgeous leotards with string detailing which showed off their figures. Three of the girls wore knee-high boots while Jesy went for ankle boots. Another outfit slay at the Capital Summertime Ball!
