After a long 30 consecutive weeks on the chart, Little Mix’s album Get Weird proves to fare well with the public eye as it spikes up +9 places on the official U.K charts to #9.
Astounding at that sounds, the girl groups’ album is inches away from going double platinum in the U.K. The last girl group to achieve this was Girls Aloud back in 2008 with their fifth and final studio album Out Of Control. Still, this achievement will make Little Mix the first girl group this decade to achieve a multi-platinum album (most notably in the U.K).
In comparison to their other put out albums, Get Weird will most likely be the groups’ longest charting album. It’s already proved to be their most successful.
On the iTunes/Global Spotify charts, ‘Secret Love Song’ has conquered the #1 spot in the Philippines and ‘Hair’ continues its life with numerous chartings including #16 in the U.K. and New Zealand. Even past single ‘Love Me Like You’ hangs on by a thread in a few countries as well.
