Little Mix: The Search has finally been given its official launch date.
The first episode of the new talent show will premiere on BBC One on Saturday September 26. The series follows Little Mix queens Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards as they search for the next band to thrive in the music industry.
The girls will be mentoring the next generation of hopefuls, who will also be given access to vocal coaches, song-writers, producers and stylists. The winning group will be given the incredible opportunity of supporting Little Mix on their next tour!
Speaking to Metro about the show, Jade said: “We’ve got some incredible groups that we’ve put together and it’s something we’ve never done before so I think people are going to see Little Mix in a whole new light, see us mentoring people.
“I think what’s so exciting for us about the show is how authentic it is and you can really get to see how we work together. We found some insanely talented people and hopefully we can use our platform and the show’s platform to give them an amazing career off the back of it.”
Whilst a lot of the audition stages were already filmed prior to lockdown, the band are currently working out the logistics for filming the live shows later this autumn. They will be joined by Chris Ramsey who will be hosting the show.
As well as confirming the launch date, a new trailer for the show has been unveiled by the BBC. We couldn’t be more excited for the show to start and can’t wait to follow the new groups on their journeys!
You can tune in to Little Mix: The Search on BBC One from Saturday September 26.
