The news just dropped, Black Magic, the first single from the upcoming third album of Little Mix has gone GOLD in the UK ! The single topped UK charts with combined sales of 113.000, making it the girl’s first single to top the chart since their first ever single Wings. The hit also achieved Platinum certification by joining the top ten is Australia, Ireland, Israel and Belgium.
On the UK single charts, Black Magic remained at the top of the charts for three weeks in a row, becoming the first single by a girls band to do since Sugababes “About You Now” in October 2007. Due to this amazing performance, the single was nominated for “Choice Love Song” on the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. Congrats Girls !
Little Mix claimed one of the 10 biggest song of the summer 2015 with their single Black Magic. As the Huffington Post would say “One of the best pop releases of the year“. The critics also compliment the “killer chorus” and even said that it was the song is significantly better than “Pretty Girl” which LM girls co-wrote. The song described as bouncy and incredibly catchy and compared to the carefree joy of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” or Cindy Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. Impressive compliment for the girls vocals that keeps getting better album after album.
Every Mixers are now waiting for the third album to be released on the 6th November 2015. The girls describe it as a “whole new sound“, they also confirmed that the album is more of pop sound compared to Salute with songs being very funny, colorful and more personality driven. I’m pretty sure we can rate this album by a 5 stars already. We are dying to hear more high notes from Perrie, beatboxing and rapping from Jesy and Leigh-Anne, and the angelic voice that has Jade.
