Live version of “Flower Flower” released off the back of a Fashion Media Award win

Sasha Siem, fresh off the back of her win at the Fashion Media Awards, has released a beautiful live rendition of her song, “Flower Flower”. The unofficial opening party of New York Fashion Week honoured Siem alongside Kate Moss, Zendaya, and British Vogue editor Edward Enninful. This new video comes as a welcome relief for those amongst us who simply cannot wait to see this talent perform live again. The song itself builds beautifully around Siem’s haunting vocals and the instrumentation is nothing short of exquisite.

This talented songstress began writing songs at the tender age of eleven, when she wrote a wise-beyond-her-years instrumental accompaniment to the Maya Angelou poem, “A Caged Bird Sings”. This was soon a talent nurtured and honed during her years at both the University of Cambridge and Harvard University, where she gained a PhD in music and poetry.

This latest video is a delicate balance of vocals and Siem’s performing presence, with Siem’s performance style as something hypnotic, captivating, and magical. She was the first artist to ever be asked to perform at the Fashion Media Awards, alongside her win of the ‘New Wave’ artist of the year award – both accolades well deserved by Siem.
