Launching onto Britain’s rap scene this year, Deano Died has been cultivating an audience ahead of the release of his first new single ‘Lighthouse’ which came out at the start of this month.
With his newfound musical style already giving listeners a catchy, melodic harmony that people can relate to, the rapper has just revealed his latest music video directed by Sara Shots to flaunt his new musical journey.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Deano Died, having started his music journey at the height of the pandemic, and taking inspiration from artists like Juice WRLD during a truly remarkable transition for the music business.
But in the heights of 2020, Died discovered a new musical sound, having worked closely with Jmak Beatz, the in-house producer from Drake and Noah “40” Shebib’s label OVO sound. It was this experience that got him focused on bringing a refreshing beat while perfecting not only his singing, but his lyrics.
Having had a passion for music since an early age, ‘Lighthouse’ has been a longtime in the making, and the artist is just getting started. With hard-hitting beats, and powerful vocals, Deano Died is a must watch artist as he brings a new dynamic to London’s buzzing rap scene.
Music video: Lighthouse
‘Lighthouse’ was recorded in East London and tells the story of a tragic break-up which Deano expresses through the reality of a toxic relationship. Finding inspiration from his personal experiences, the rapper chose to share his story and give listeners a taste at what’s to come. Original beats for the track were produced by collaborator Ross Gossage with mixing and mastering done by Jean-Baptiste Makolo AKA “Jmak Beatz” who he’s worked closely with in the past year.
