Euro pop Queen Loreen continues to dominate the music scene this week, with the release of her latest single ‘Warning Signs’ – a powerful and deeply personal dance track that sees the singer guide listeners on a journey of “raw emotion and self-discovery”.
Produced by Jon Shave (Charli XCX, RAYE, Riton) and co-written with an all-star team including Ina Wroldsen (Calvin Harris, Disciples, Kylie) and Corey Sanders (Sigala, Zedd, The Chainsmokers), the anthemic track blends Loreen’s signature electro-pop sound with world music influences, creating a lush and immersive experience that mirrors the emotional depth of the song’s narrative.
Lyrically inspired by the darker side of long, the evocative song sees Loreen encapsulate the bittersweet experience of falling for someone we know we should resist, while acknowledging the “deeper spiritual truths that such relationships can reveal”.
The journey of self-discovery isn’t just about embracing joy and love—it’s about finding beauty in the mistakes, in the times we lose our way, and in the choices that shape who we are.
“Life has a way of drawing us toward what we need to learn, even if it’s not what we think we want,” Loreen shares via a press release. “’Warning Signs’ is a reminder to slow down, to listen to our bodies and the subtle wisdom it holds. It’s a story of surrendering to the flow and trusting that even in the chaos, there is grace and guidance leading us back to ourselves. Don’t judge yourself for being drawn to someone who “isn’t right for you” —it’s all part of finding your way.”
