To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA’s mission is to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

The founder of TWLOHA, James Tworkowski didn’t intend to start a non-profit organisation, he was simply trying to help his friend. He wanted to give her story a voice. When Jamie met Renee Yohe, she was struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury, and suicidal thoughts. He wrote about his experience of the five days he spent with her before she entered a treatment centre, and he sold T-shirts to help cover the cost of the treatment, which in our book makes him a pretty amazing person.

You were created to love and be loved.
You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known.
You need to know your story is important, and you’re part of a bigger story.
You need to know your life matters.

We live in a difficult world, a broken world. We believe everyone can relate to pain, all of us live with questions, and all of us get stuck in moments. You need to know you’re not alone in the places you feel stuck.

We all wake to the human condition. We wake to mystery and beauty, but also to tragedy and loss. Millions of people live with problems of pain. Millions of homes are filled with questions—moments, and seasons, and cycles that come as thieves and aim to stay. We know pain is very real. It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real and help is real.- TWLOHA’s vision

Louis performing at the event is one truly powerful and profound statement, he is once again showing his awareness for topical issues, and acknowledging just how important it is to break down the taboo that surrounds any discussion about mental health.

He has often supported various charities including using his own music video to help others. He is just as known and applauded for his philanthropic endeavours and having one of the biggest and most giving hearts in the industry, as he is for being a talented lyricist whose lyrics are a powerful emotive force, which empowers the listener.

Tickets go on sale Friday, October 11th at 10am, with a limited pre-sale running Thursday, October 10th from 10am-10pm. A portion of all proceeds will benefit TWLOHA.
