Another day, another release from the super talented lyricist that is Louis Tomlinson. And this time it’s his latest single We Made It.
Not content with killing us all with the release of Kill My Mind, which debuted a more indie and grown-up sound, which showed just how much he has grown since he began writing songs for One Direction.
We Made It, delves further into a sound, which suits Louis’s voice perfectly, showcasing not only his confidence with this more brit-pop sound but again showing his talent for writing lyrics that not only tell his own story but also tell a story, that everyone can relate to in some shape or form.
The opening guitar riffs set the tone for the song, which is reminiscent of 90’s band Oasis. The song is about growing in a relationship, reminiscing about the early stages of it and reassuring someone that they made it. One thing is for sure Louis knows without a doubt how to write deeply personal lyrics about the nuances of a relationship.
Louis has also announced the release of his debut solo album Walls on 31st January 2020. It will feature Kill My Mind, Two of Us and We Made It as well as brand new tracks that Louis has been working on for the past few years.
