Louise has delighted fans this weekend with the news she is to release her brand new single “Super Magic” this coming Thursday!
Posting on social media yesterday (November 4th) as she celebrated her 48th birthday, the “Lead Me On” singer wrote: “It’s my birthday and I have a little treat for you… my new single ‘Super Magic’ is coming next week! I can’t wait for you to hear this!!!”
Though little is known about the track, uber pop producer Steve Anderson (Kylie Minogue, Steps, Ella Henderson) teased his involvement writing on Twitter: “So proud to have worked on this one – can’t wait for everyone to hear it #SuperMagic!”
The single – Louise’s 20th solo release and her first new music since 2020’s “Heavy Love” – comes after the former Eternal star spoke to the Official Charts Company backstage at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London, about what fans can expect from her new material… “It’s right where I want to be. Sometimes it takes quite a few years to get exactly where you want to be musically, and the new songs are right where I want to sit. It’s taken me a while to get there, but I’m there.”
“It’s really inspired by some of the music I love; Janet Jackson, Prince, slightly old school but with a modern twist. I’m loving it. I wanted to perform it today, but they wouldn’t let me. Everyone was like ‘no, it’s too early!’ You’ve got to wait a bit longer, but I don’t think it’ll disappoint. I feel like I can be quite confident in that.”
