Love Is Blind UK hosts Matt and Emma Willis get all kinds of personal on this weeks episode of ‘Newlyweds’ hosted by Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo.
Having been married for sixteen years, the Willis’ give NewlyWeds Laing and Habboo some top tips on how to sustain a long and happy marriage, with the foursome connecting over awkward proposals, couple’s therapy, and even their Birmingham accents!

In perhaps some of the episodes more poignant moments, Matt talks about his issues with bad acne and make up, as well as navigating the ups and downs during addiction. Whilst Emma shares her thoughts on romance, therapy, and dreamy wedding days.
Opening up about her first meeting with the man who would later become her husband, Emma shares: “So the first time we ever met was at MTV studios in Camden when I was hosting TRL. And I was a bridesmaid in some sketch we were doing where Matt was marrying a fan! That was the first time we ever met! But the first time I ever saw him was earlier that day, as we walked past each other on the corridor, and I do remember thinking to myself: ‘underneath all of that makeup, that guy is really cute’.”
Chipping in, Matt adds: “The reason I wore so much makeup was because I had such bad acne, like it was terrible, really, really awful. So my makeup artist, used this airbrush gun he had, and would basically spray paint makeup me on.”

Sticking on the subject of Matt’s band Busted, a candid Emma admits: “I wasn’t into them when I met him (Matt), but then when I got to know him, and kind of saw him in action… I mean, he was just very, very good! And now those songs are so special to me because they became such like an integral part of the beginning of our relationship – and they were massive hits. Every time I hear them, I kind of just smile because I’ve got such great memories attached to them, and I now know every fucking word, and I can honestly say I am the biggest Busted fan!”
