MAAD Releases Music Video for "New Religion"

If you’re a fan of adventurous and ambitious women with mad talent, then MAAD is for you! No pun intended… ;) Originally from New Jersey, MAAD is now based in Los Angeles, where she’s continuously growing as a singer/songwriter, DJ, and a fashion model. She’s been seen in spreads for Vogue, i-D, Wonderland, EBONY, ESSENCE, Cosmopolitan, and Seventeen, and has already earned praise from MTV UK. Honestly, she does it all. And even has the graceful confidence to back it up.

MAAD made a clip with Paulo Berberan, a London-based filmmaker, for a project called “A Safe Place.” This visual project told a shattering story about the lives of gay men living in repressive societies. And now for her new R&B/pop track, “New Religion”, MAAD is working with Paulo again.

Within the video, MAAD is with a man, but something has gone wrong. They’re stranded in a place that’s falling to pieces around them, but they don’t mind because they have each other. With lyrics like, “I see kingdoms for us my faith won’t be shaken / I see worlds boy when I’m looking into your eyes / And I know I’ve waited my whole life / I won’t let it pass by / I know I am home,” you can tell she’s is head over heals in this catchy love song.

You can catch “New Religion” on her EP, which is expected to be available later this Summer.
