“Made In The A.M.” Goes Platinum In The US

The One Direction boys have done it again! Their fifth studio album Made In The A.M. has gone platinum. On April 13th, 2016 the album received its official platinum status in the United States.

In order for an album to receive platinum status the album must have sold 1 million copies. One sale is equal to 1 album sold, 10 track sales or 1,500 track streams. This is One Direction’s fifth album to go platinum. Their first two albums, Up All Night, and Take Me Home are now double platinum.

This is an amazing milestone for the boys to hit while on their temporary hiatus and we couldn’t be more proud. Congratulations to Harry, Liam, Louis, and Niall on their fifth platinum album and thank you for all their hard work, dedication and love!
