Marcus & Martinus are back with a summer dancefloor filler in new single ‘247365’.
The first taste of new music from the Norwegian twins since Melodifestivalen hit ‘Air’, the single sees the duo move back to the trademark plucky production that has become bread and butter for the viral brothers.
It’s been a busy 2023 for the 21-year-olds who went head-to-head with eventual Eurovision winner Loreen in the Swedish selection competition.
Marcus & Martinus’ entry ‘Air’ marked a new darker, sound and earned plaudits for its forward-thinking production and use of lasers in the liver performance. In any other year the track would have been a surefire Melodifestivalen winner and, we dare say, have been right up there in the Eurovision rankings.
What the Melodifestivalen appearance did do is remind pop music fans that Marcus & Martinus are just as impressive as they were when starting off their journey back in 2012.
Dropping ‘247365’ today, the track is guaranteed to impact on listeners’ summer playlists and is the type of party anthem destined for a Love Island spin.
Fans will be hoping the track is from a bigger project from the duo, who haven’t released an album since 2018’s triumphant Moments.
There have been a series of singles including the electropop hit ‘Love You Less’, emotional ‘When All The Lights Go Out’ and the groovy ‘Belinda’, as well as 2019 EP SOON.
