Sometimes in our lives, we just cannot deal, and our reality becomes too much to bear. When you are in those situations do you face them head-on or blast the radio in an attempt to tune out the pain? Edgy rock foursome Me Like Bees have just unleashed their new single and visuals for “Radio” focusing on this concept. The exhilarating track showcases gripping guitar, vibrant rhythms and a chorus that is irresistibly addictive. It’s a song that will stay trapped in our heads long after the finish. The video is equally as captivating with colorful, flashing lights. It displays all different types of radios as band member Luke Sheafer is on the floor. With his headphones on, he jerks his head, desperately trying to drown out his thoughts.
The Joplin, MO quartet is composed of bassist Jake Bennett, singer Sheafer, guitarist Pete Burton and drummer Lewis Brossman. Burton and Sheafer founded the project. Though the members from its conception have changed, the two have remained. Despite the group’s ups and downs, they are now on a consistent rise making a name for themselves in the indie scene. The four-piece even supported Silversun Pickups. This new release is also a demonstration of just how far they have come. They are showing no signs of slowing down. The single is all about learning how to cope. Me Like Bees have definitely discovered how to navigate their way through this challenging industry.
