Meadow Walker, 16, continues Paul Walker’s philanthropic legacy and announces a new organization, The Paul Walker Foundation, on her Instagram.
The foundation was launched on September 12 2015 – on what would’ve been his 42nd birthday.
Meadow captioned the photo of her and her father on Instagram with an unforgettable message.
Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others. I am tremendously proud to be launching The #PaulWalkerFoundation (@paulwalkerfdn) on his birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my father. #DoGood
The Fast & Furious star passed away in a car accident on November 30 2013, while on his way home from a charity event hosted by Reach Out Worldwide. His friend, Roger Rodas, was lost in the accident as well.
Despite the loss of a beloved one, his family doesn’t seem to be giving up anytime soon. They are making history while making a difference.
His brother, Cody Walker, joined Reached Out Worldwide in 2014 to continue Paul’s legacy with the charity.
Today, fans, friends, and family of Paul Walker are celebrating The Paul Walker Foundation in tribute of his birthday. According to the official website, The Paul Walker Foundation aims to “continue to do the work that Paul started” and to “do good and live like Paul.” They are in a current partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium to provide protection for the ocean and the living creatures residing in the sea.
Before Paul passed, he said, “When you put good will out there it’s amazing what can be accomplished”.
Meadow Walker is following her father’s footsteps and making him proud.
The Walker family are respectable and honorable people. They have the strength and the power to change the world for a better.
RIP Paul Walker.
We are just as proud of your family as you are.
